Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is a requirement of all student visas, except for Norwegian students who have a student loan, and some Swedish students.
OSHC Worldcare is Flinders University's preferred health care provider. Staff are on campus to process claims and answer questions on Wednesdays, 10am - 2pm and Fridays, 1:30pm - 3:30pm.
To locate a doctor who direct bills, please refer to the OSHC Worldcare medical providers web page.
Your OSHC card or number will be given to you shortly after arrival.
Students commencing their study pay the fee for OSHC directly to Flinders University together with their tuition fees.
From Semester 2 2006 Flinders University moved to visa length health cover. If your health cover expires before you finish your course, please contact Student Finance to arrange further cover.
Participation in health insurance schemes in home countries does not exempt international students from payment of OSHC, with the exception of Norwegian students and some Swedish students.
For further information, see the website of the university's OSHC providers, OSHC Worldcare.
