How to apply

The steps below outline the process of applying to study at Flinders University. If you have any problems with your application please contact the International Office, or contact an agent in your country.

Step 1

Select your course or program

Details of Flinders University undergraduate and postgraduate programs are available on our website.

Students applying for a Research Higher Degree must apply through the Research Higher Degrees section of our website.

For some courses places are limited and admission to these programs is very competitive. Check the course quotas to see if the course is full before applying.

 

Step 2

Check entry requirements

Evidence of Academic and English language requirements must be included as part of your application. Entry and English requirements for Flinders University courses are listed on the website. You will need to submit certified original true copies of all documents with your application.

If you do not meet our academic entry requirements you may wish to consider enroling on one of our pathway or preparatory programs.

Step 3

Check eligibility for credit

If you have previous educational qualifications you may receive advanced standing towards your Flinders University degree. Check the Search for Credit website to see if you are eligible.

Apply

Students apply online by clicking on the apply button:

If you fall into one of the categories listed above you can lodge the application form direct to the International Office or by emailing to internationalapply@flinders.edu.au.

Step 5

Obtain certified true copies of your academic and english results

You will need to include certified true copies of your academic and english results from school or college, and any other qualifications you have completed. Include all documents listed in the application checklist.

Step 6

Submit your application and documents

Applications and documents may be uploaded electronically when you apply online. The upload facility will accept the following file formats: PDF, JPEG, TIF and GIF.

Your application is now completed

 Flinders University will send you and your agent an email within 2 working days confirming that we have received your application form. The email will contain your reference number and contact details. You should take special note of the Flinders University Application Reference Number as you will need to quote this in any correspondence while the application is being assessed. All future correspondence should be uploaded via the online application.


We will inform you if your offer has been successful within

  • Undergraduate applications – 14 working days
  • Postgraduate applications – 14 working days
  • Research higher degrees – within 6 weeks.

If your application to study at Flinders is successful

 You will be sent an Offer Letter for a place within your chosen degree.

You will then need to follow the instructions on how to accept your offer, obtain a student visa, payment of tuition fees, other required fees and related information.
