Flinders University recognises that completing the first year of university is not always an easy feat. The Transition and Encouragement Awards recognise and promote the efforts of international students who embrace the challenge of continuing their studies beyond high school.
- support the efforts of international students who have successfully transitioned from high school to university
- recognise high achieving international students (based on Grade Point Average in their first year at Flinders University) with $1000 each for a Transition Award and $500 each for an Encouragement Award.
- are granted to students selected from all international students who have completed high school in South Australia/Northern Territory and have applied through SATAC to commence study at Flinders University in semester one of the following year.
School to Uni Transition Award Winners 2012
Prof Nancy Cromar, Assoc Dean (International and Strategic Partnerships), Faculty of Science and Engineering presented the awards at a formal presentation ceremony held on 07 May, 2013. Family members, friends and staff from students’ former schools and Flinders University were also part of the ceremony organised by the International Office.
