Scholarships and bursaries

The following scholarships are available to international students:

Australian Awards Scholarships

Participating countries: selected developing countries
Level of study: undergraduate or postgraduate at participating Australian universities and technical and further education (TAFE) institutions.

Provides opportunity for people from developing countries to undertake full time undergraduate or postgraduate study at participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions.

Aims to develop leadership, address priority regional development issues, and build partnerships and links between Australian organisations and their partner organisations in developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East.

Australian Awards Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships
Participating countries: participating countries or regions
Level of study:
for vocational education (VET) at a diploma, advanced diploma or associate degree level; for postgraduate study, research and professional development.

Offers support to international recipients to study, conduct research and undertake professional development in Australia. To apply, you must be from
a participating country or region.

Mawson Lakes Fellowship Program

Participating countries: Japan
Level of study:
honours, masters or doctoral studies

Provides three scholarships each year for South Australian postgraduate students studying in the fields of urban innovation and innovative urban planning and development practice to study in Japan for six months. In turn, three Japanese students are given the opportunity to study in Adelaide.

MBA/MAcc Partial Fee Scholarship

Participating countries: All international students applying for MBA/MAcc

Level of study: Postgraduate

Students applying for entry into the Master of Accounting (MAcc) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs will now be eligible to see if they qualify for the partial fee scholarship which is equivalent to a 15% reduction to their course fees. This scholarship is available for students commencing from Semester One, 2014.

China

Level of study: PhD

The China Scholarship Council (CSC) and Flinders University have established a collaborative scholarship program for students from selected Chinese universities to undertake research PhD studies at Flinders University. The long term purpose of the program is to establish strong working links with Chinese universities in order to build relationships around key academic research areas.

Australia’s international development cooperation in Latin America aims to help people overcome poverty through sustainable economic development.

Chile

Level of study: masters and doctoral research

Flinders University is participating with Universities Australia and Becas Chile in the Bicentennial Fund Scholarship program. This will enable Chilean students who have secured a scholarship to study a Masters or Doctoral research degree at Flinders.

Ecuador

Level of study: master, doctorate and post-doctorate

The Ecuadorian Government, through the Secretaría Nacional de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología (SENESCYT), offers Ecuadorian professionals the opportunity to continue their academic formation in masters, doctorate or postdoctorate programs abroad. Priority will be in the area of scientific and technological development with a boost to the academic level of Ecuadorian universities at the same time.
