Notification of copyright and intellectual property rights infringements on Flinders University web sites

Procedure to be followed for notification

A rightsholder who believes that their copyright or intellectual property rights have been infringed should in the first instance contact the University's Copyright Officer using an appropriate Take Down Notice.

The Copyright Officer will take immediate steps to investigate the matter and to remedy any observed breach of the Act. If the Copyright Officer receives a Take Down Notice which is or appears to be issued in accordance or substantially in accordance with the form prescribed in the Copyright Regulations 1969 and amendments, the University will expeditiously remove or disable access to the Copyright Material which is the subject of the Notice prior to properly assessing its position and deciding whether to challenge the Notice.

If the University is notified by any other means (whether by the Rights Holder or any other person) of facts and circumstances that make it apparent that the material which it is hosting or linking to is likely to be Infringing Material, it will expeditiously remove or disable access to the material prior to properly assessing its position and deciding whether to continue hosting or linking to the material.
