The Operations group supports telephony services for several Flinders University sites: 

  1. Flinders Main Campus including Sturt Campus
  2. Mark Oliphant Building
  3. Flinders Living / University Hall
  4. Australian Science and Maths School
  5. Lincoln Marine Science Centre – Port Lincoln
  6. Centre for Remote Health – Alice Springs

New telephony service installations / Moves and changes to extensions
To request the installation or relocation of a telephony service on the Flinders University campus, please fill out the following:

The completed form will need to be forwarded to Digital Media Services. For all costs relating to telephony products and installations please see Telecommunications Costs.

A standard analogue IQTEL 333 handset is provided within the basic installation fee.
Digital handsets can be provided at an additional fee.

Any charges incurred in making moves and changes will be charged back to the Faculty or Section using the account code supplied on the Work Request Form.

NOTE: Subject to our workload, a minimum period of up to 10 working days is generally required before work will commence.
It may be possible to arrange an earlier response if the requesting department is prepared to pay overtime for Digital Media Services staff to complete the request after hours. For further information, please contact us.

Voicemail

The Flinders University PABX network is equipped with a central voicemail system called CallXpress.

CallXpress voicemail enables phone users to record a message which greets callers and gives callers the ability to leave a message.

Calls can divert to CallXpress voicemail on no answer, on busy or both.
