Alison Mary Dolling (pseudonym Mary Broughton) was an author, journalist and teacher. From 1966-1975, A. M. Dolling was the editor of the Women's Pages of the Chronicle, focusing on South Australian history.

A. M. Dolling was the author of Chronicle Cameos, The History of Marion on the Sturt and A Child Went Forth.

This material was accumulated by Alison Mary Dolling over the course of her life (1917-2006) and donated to Flinders University Library on her death. There are 18 archive boxes and 3 newspaper boxes, housing

85 folders. They contain pamphlets, books, magazines, journals, newsletters, diaries, letters, cards, her obituary, cassettes, photographs and scrapbooks. They span from the 1800s to 2006.
