Mamoru Mohri was Japan’s first astronaut and is now Chief Executive Director of Japan’s National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan). Dr Mohri received a doctorate in Chemistry from Flinders University of South Australia in 1976.

This is a collection of 17 books in Japanese, donated by Dr. Mamoru Mohri and mostly written or translated by the donor. Topics include NASA, space sciences, space flight, science education in Japan, and a translation of “Five little fiends” by Sarah Dyer.

A framed photograph of Dr Mohri, plus a small collection of press clippings, photographs, leaflets and correspondence are also held.
