Murray Bramwell has been a theatre and music reviewer in Adelaide since 1985 and has written more than 900 reviews for a variety of publications in Australia, NZ, and the US.
He was a Drama Lecturer at Flinders University from 1989, and the Associate Professor in the Drama Department from 2006 until 2011.
The collection consists of 22 archive boxes containing material dating from 1984 to 2010, including:
- Theatre programs, largely South Australian, but also from Melbourne theatre companies, other Australian states, New Zealand, and from the UK. Many programs include Bramwell's handwritten working notes.
- Flyers, posters and scripts, and programs for cinema, circus, dance, opera, music and festivals.
- Transcripts of interviews which are included in his published book Wanted for Questioning: Interviews with Australian Comic Artists (edited with David Matthews).
