SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) is a computer application that provides statistical analysis of data. It allows for in-depth data access and preparation, analytical reporting, graphics and modelling.
Please note that in 2009 SPSS Inc. decided to change their product name from SPSS to Predictive Analytics Software (PASW). Because more than likely the old label will be widely used for some time by users and researchers worldwide, double naming PASW (SPSS) will be used on the university websites.
More analytical power can be added by using optional PASW (SPSS) modules.
Flinders University has a site licence for this product that allows for its unlimited use on computers owned by the University. There is also provision for home use by University staff and a graduate pack arrangement for use at home by postgraduate students.
