University Hall

University Hall is a catered, collegiate hall of residence and is home to 209 students.

It provides an environment which fosters friendship, independence, cultural and social acceptance, equity, a team spirit and a strong sense of community across many diverse nationalities and is a good option for first year students.

Facilities and services


Accommodation cost includes 15 meals per week provided by professional caterers. This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner on Mondays to Fridays, including vegetarian options.

Late meals and some special diets can be catered for. Communal kitchenettes are available where you can prepare snacks and weekend meals.

Recreation and social activities

University Hall celebrates academic, sporting and personal achievement, and encourages personal growth and leadership.

Sporting matches, barbecues, themed dinners and regular activities by residents foster great leaders and supporters in the community.

Academic and wellbeing support 

Residential tutors provide academic and wellbeing support and perform an out of hours security and administrative role in addition to facilitating and supporting student activities and lifestyles.

Common areas

University Hall is well equipped with common areas that include:

  • communal dining room
  • television and common room
  • furnished 'Abbey' lounge and the versatile Ballroom
  • laundry.

In addition there is a communal computer laboratory, a small library, a music room, an art room and a tennis/basketball court.

Student barbeques and social functions are also held in the grassed central courtyard that also boasts an outdoor cinema screen, the unit gardens and under the modern gazebos.

Transport and parking

Parking is available in a secure car park located adjacent to University Hall. A regular bus service takes residents to the local shopping precinct, the beach and to Adelaide's CBD.
