The Online Communications team plays an integral role in conveying campaign messages to our audiences and connecting Flinders people to our communities. In this capacity, the Online Communications team forms part of the integrated approach of the Marketing and Communications Office (MACO) towards a unified message to our audiences.
All Flinders campaigns (print advertising, radio advertising and outdoor advertising), such as those leading up to Open Day and application dates, are promoted via the Flinders website and social media engagement.
In addition, we're here to help promote your projects, news and achievements. Some of the ways we do this are:
- Flinders blogs and RSS feeds
- promotion of high profile news on the Flinders website home page
- Google Ads
- Twitter updates
- Facebook updates and ads
- Foursquare promotions (such as for Orientation Week, Open Day)
- Flinders YouTube channel
- the online Events Management System
- web analytics (to measure outcomes).
New technologies and ways to communicate online are always being explored so that we can keep our content fresh, relevant and appealing to our audiences.
For more information about online promotion, please contact the Online Communications team. Refer also to Flinders University website.
Other online promotion
MACO often runs online promotions that relate to campaigns and community engagement activities on external sites and online media. These include:
- sponsorship and continual presence in InDaily online news service (managed by the News and Media team)
- advertisements on Adelaide Now, Hotmail and other high traffic websites (managed by the Marketing team).
