Alumni and Development

Role: Cultivate long-term relationships with Flinders’ 83,000 global alumni, friends and supporters, securing additional resources through philanthropy to support the University’s strategic development objectives.

  • Build alumni and supporter networks and promote lifelong learning and networking.
  • Develop programs encouraging graduates,donors and friends to engage with the University, both onshore and offshore.
  • Act as first point of contact for all philanthropic giving to Flinders.
  • Work with colleagues to provide support, and manage philanthropic relationships and bequests.

Rob Wild, Database and Research Officer

Rob provides database management of our alumni, industry and donor contact details with a focus on supporting the ongoing programs of both alumni relations and fundrasing activities.

Rob undertakes prospect research activities, with a focus on individuals and organisations, to aid in targetted fundraising efforts and supports OCE's mailing list management.


Emily Drewniak, Donor Relations Officer

Emily is the first point of contact for philanthropic giving to the university. Emily builds and maintains lasting relationships with donors, manages the bequest program and develops fundraising campaigns. Contact Emily if you would like to know more about these programs.

Geoffrey Sauer, Alumni Relations Officers

The Alumni Relations Officers build alumni and supporter loyalty through developing themes and programs that encourage graduates, donors and friends to engage with the University, both onshore and offshore.

Geoff work closely with the Head, Development and Alumni Relations and other key staff in the University to plan, implement and manage a strong, proactive alumni program for Flinders in support of the University's strategic objectives, recruitment and fundraising priorities.

Geoff also edits the quarterly e newsletter e.NCOUNTER sent to over 10,500 alumni.
