NCGRT Recruitment update

We have had an outstanding response to our call for Expressions of interest, receiving many more than the number of positions that are available for commencement in 2010.

Recruitment for 2010 for postgraduate and postdoctoral positions is now closed, and we will soon be writing to all of those who lodged Expressions of Interest, for which we thank you. We will continue to register Expressions of Interest and keep them on file in case vavancies occur.

Joint Chair in Hydrogeology, UWA and Curtin

This is a new position, which will build hydrogeology capacity in WA, in line with the State’s strategic needs. The establishment of this Chair will facilitate core groundwater programs in WA in association with the NCGRT. Applications close on 5 February 2010. Technical Officer positions at Flinders University

Applications are invited for two Technical Officer positions in NCGRT Research Program 3, at Flinders University, closing on 22 January 2010. Both positions involve laboratory and field work, including the installation and maintenance of field infrastructure at Willunga Basin (SA) and Ti Tree Basin (NT). Groundwater short courses

The National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training is proud to now be the home of Australia's preferred groundwater professional development program, run with outstanding success for twenty years by the Centre for Groundwater Studies.

Course program and registration information

 

The 2010 course program is now available, offering 17 courses throughout the year, from March to November. These respond to a range of knowledge needs, from a basic understanding of groundwater and groundwater processes, to specialist technical and scientific issues, to groundwater for policy and decision makers, to an intensive five day groundwater overview (the Australian Groundwater School).
