School Office
The School Office assists in the day-to-day administration of the School by providing a range of clerical and administrative services. It is part of the Student Services team providing support to students, visitors to the School and academic staff as required.
The School Office team offers front-counter support for reception enquiries, management of assignment tracking and distribution, distribution of School emails, maintenance of stationery supplies, one-off room bookings, and academic administrative support. Academic administrative support includes servicing work requests such as printing, photocopying, proofreading, typing, formatting, mailing and equipment bookings.
SoNM Research Hub
The SoNM Research Hub provides a contemporary framework for the coordination and management of the School's strategic research activities, assists the School's researchers to achieve their full potential and provides a platform for multidisciplinary research.
The Hub offers a range of services to academic staff in the research and publication areas. Some of these services are also available to higher degree students.
Flexible Education Unit
The Flexible Education Unit (FEU) assists academic staff to plan, develop and deliver effective student learning resources using Flinders Learning Online (FLO), dedicated websites and print.
Services include topic and assessment design assistance, information design (structuring materials), production of interactive web-based resources (such as interactive animations, web databases, illustrations), editing, desktop publishing and individual staff training in the use of FLO.
Nursing Skills Laboratory
The Nursing Skills Laboratory aims to simulate a clinical setting. It is a safe, non-threatening environment where nursing students can learn to undertake a variety of nursing skills and procedures using a wide range of up-to-date equipment and other resources.
The laboratory has numerous nursing simulation models that assist in enabling students to apply their knowledge and skills to more realistic nursing scenarios.
Students are presented with scenarios and activities that help strengthen their skills in critical thinking, decision-making, delegation and teamwork.
Science Laboratory
The Science Laboratory is dedicated to facilitating the teaching of health-related science topics to undergraduate students in a safe and non-threatening environment.
The lab is staffed by science technicians who support the academic staff, and it is furnished with specialised health equipment.
