Professional Experience Placements (PEP)
A Professional Experience Placement (PEP) is an essential part of your preparation to becoming a registered nurse or midwife, or, as a registered practitioner, expanding your knowledge and skill base.
The principal goal of any placement is to provide you with relevant 'real-life' professional experience to help further develop your clinical skills and transfer theory into practice.
Placements for undergraduate students are sourced by us, in collaboration with State health authorities and private providers. Refer to the Placement Principles.
Postgraduate students may be required to negotiate their own placement, depending on the requirements of your course - more information can be found in the Postgraduate section.
The Placements Unit is responsible for the management and allocation of all nursing and midwifery placements for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
