Procedure for obtaining a licence to handle a radioactive substance

 

  1. Contact the Occupational Health and Safety Unit on 8201 3024 and request that a radiation licence application form be sent to you, forms can also be downloaded from the EPA (SA) site.
  2. Complete the form and photocopy it.
  3. Send the form with a cheque to the Radiation Protection Branch (RPB) of the EPA (SA).
  4. Send a photocopy of the licence application to the Occupational Health and Safety Unit, Registry Annexe for record keeping purposes.


The cost of the application and the Radiation Protection Branch address are on the form.

Your Cost Centre will pay the fee.
