Consultation

The Rehabilitation Policy and Procedures will be reviewed in consultation with management and workers representatives in accordance with the review schedule.

Where significant changes are made the Head OHS Unit will, initially consult with the manager, Human Resources Division and then, after appropriate consultation with management, Occupational Health and Safety (Area) Committees and the unions forward recommendations to The University OHS Committee which will in turn forward proposed policy changes to the Resources Committee and ultimately Council.

Where changes to procedure are to be made, the Head OHS Unit will forward recommendations to the OHS (Area) Committees and the Unions for comment.

Final recommendations will be drafted in light of any comment received and forwarded to the Executive Director of Administration for approval.

The Head OHS Unit will ensure that the appropriate staff are advised of the amended policy and/or procedures immediately following approval by Council (policy) or Executive Director of Administration (procedures).
