Introduction

The rehabilitation procedures for supervisors provides information and guidance for all University staff members who are responsible for the supervision of other staff members. They supplement the procedures which are outlined in the Rehabilitation Policy and Procedures.

The procedures are to be used for guidance when a staff member has a work related injury or illness.

The supervisor of an injured/ill staff member has several responsibilities. These include the assessment of the need for rehabilitation, negotiation regarding time absent from work for medical treatment, and assistance with redeployment if necessary. These and other responsibilities are explained in these procedures.
