Manual Handling Training

Objectives:

To provide participants with basic information on the structure and function of the spine and safe methods of lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying.

Any lifting tasks specific to your area can be discussed and advice will be provided. Site and task inspections can also be arranged.

Training Method:
  • Presentation by physiotherapist or occupational therapist
  • Discussion
  • Handouts

Objectives: To provide participants with information on the basic principles behind the Manual Handling regulations and the ideas of identification, assessment and control.

If a manual lift is required this video demonstrates the safest way to do it.
