The Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement (OISE) and Flinders University have a distinctive and strategic commitment to social justice research. 

Understanding the issues affecting changing society and theorising new pathways for Reconciliation that respond fully to Indigenous experiences and understandings comprise a significant focus for the Office.  Academic staff are involved in research collaborations at the local, national and international level in four key areas:

  • Indigenous Nation-building, Governance and New Venture
  • Critical and Creative Responses to Colonialism
  • Reconciliation Pedagogies and Innovative Learning Pathways
  • Colonial Biopolitics, Eco-humanities and Indigenous Lives
