Preparing Academics to Teach in Higher Education (PATHE)

This website is a resource for the ALTC funded PATHE project. The PATHE project is scoping the different approaches currently adopted for the induction of academic staff as they commence their teaching practice in Australian higher education as well as reviewing best practice.

The intention of this website is to:

provide information about the project, including its aim and structure
provide information on the progress of the PATHE project
provide details about sub-projects
communicate details of projects
provide links to resources

Since 2002 a community of practice has developed around the Foundations of University Teaching. Each year since 2003 a series of colloquia have commenced in different capital cities. An archive of these is available from the Foundations website.

Results of the PATHE project will be disseminated at the Foundations Colloquium 2009
