Research and supervision

Research interests

Medico-legal issues; criminal law, forensic nursing, elder abuse, prisons and health care/workers, professional regulation. Currently enrolled in a PhD where the focus of the study is on a legal analysis of the law on elder abuse in Australia and the mandated reporters experience in order to develop an assessment and reporting tool for use where elder abuse in mandated settings is observed or suspected. I am also currently engaged in three research projects around student's understanding of self regulation, use of simulation in nursing and midwifery curricula and an exploration of legal issues that concern nurses and midwives.
