Biography

My background is in marketing and communication. Prior to working at Flinders University I worked in a range of marketing, communication and web project management roles in the State Government sector.

My role at Flinders University started via a 12 month contract to work on the redevelopment of the Flinders University website. As a result of this process the Online Communications team, which I lead, was formed

The role of the team has also evolved to include the development and management of online marketing and communication campaigns, social media initiatives and the development and management of solutions to resolve common University-wide content requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Management (Marketing), University of South Australia
  • Graduate Diploma in Editing and Publishing, University of Southern Queensland
  • Graduate Diploma in Internet Communication Strategies, University of South Australia

Key responsibilities

I head up the Online Communications team in the Marketing and Communications Office.

This involves leading the development and implementation of:

  • online strategies that are integrated with marketing, news and media, and alumni and development strategies
  • the strategic management of the brand on the Flinders University website
  • web content solutions for University-wide marketing and communications content
  • and the development and implementation of integrated social media initiatives.

I also liaise with other areas of the University on online-related matters and coordinate the activities of the team in providing support, tools and assistance with web content publishing and online communication.
