Biography
Geoff joined the Business School in 2005 following an extensive international business career.
Geoff has over 30 years international business management experience in exporting, importing, foreign direct investment, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, ships agency and vessel and aircraft charter in the private sector and in trade facilitation as an Australian Government Trade Commissioner. Geoff has transacted business in 15 countries. He has been heavily involved in exporter education through the Australian Institute of Export, with Austrade, the Australian Trade Commission and in running workshops on importing and exporting for small business.
Teaching
Teaching interests
Primary aims are:
- To assist students develop an awareness and understanding of the concepts and issues involved in the creation and patterns of international business;
- To assist students understand the relevance of theoretical frameworks and cross-cultural factors to companies that seek to move from domestic to international activities;
- To assist students develop technical and communication skills so as to quickly add value to an organisation they may join or establish.
