Jackie has worked in a variety of cultural and educational settings. This included nine years in Sydney and 13 years in the Northern Territory working with Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education, 24HR Art - NT Centre for Contemporary Art and the NT Government as well as Charles Darwin University, coordinating the Garma 2006 Key Forum on Indigenous Education and Training.
Jackie joined Flinders University in 2007 and worked in Policy and Secretariat and the International Office before moving to the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement. During 2011 - 2014 she managed projects including:
In 2015 as Project Officer, Flinders University Art Museum, she managed special projects for Flinders University's 50th Anniversary, including Flinders 50 Creatives and Speak to me: conversations with the Flinders University Art Collections
In 2016 working as Project Officer (Academic Engagement), Flinders University Art Museum she managed the interdisciplinary project The power of things: enhancing employability in higher education through object based learning. This focused on developing resources with academics to bring the FUAM collection comprising over 8,000 artworks to the core of teaching practice.
In 2017, in addition to her role in the School of Environment, Jackie is managing the write up of the research report for The Power of things project.
