Biography

John Spoehr is Director of the Australian Industrial Transformation Institute at Flinders University in South Australia. He leads a multi-discplinary team focusing on industry and workplace transformation in the context of technological change and innovation. John has over 25 years experience as a social and economic researcher.

John has written extensively on economic and industry development, employment, unemployment and the socio-economic impact of change.

He co-founded the Stretton Centre in partnership with the City of Playford, the Government of South Australia and the Australian Government. John is playing a leading role in the establishment of the South Australian node of the Innovative Manufacturing CRC.
