Biography

Dr Kate Deller-Evans is the Director of First Year Studies in the School of Computer Science, Engineering & Mathematics where she is a lecturer teaching ethics, research, professional, and communication skills. Her research is focussed on higher education. She is the co-author of the transition-to-university text, Essential Skills for Science and Technology, Oxford University Press (2nd edn. 2011), and is also published with Dr Steve Evans as the co-author of Best of Friends: The first thirty years of Friendly Street Poets, Wakefield Press, (2008). Kate is a reviewer of live performance, film and books for the Adelaide Independent Weekly, InDaily online news service, Fringereview.com and ReadPlus.
