Professor Lorraine Sheppard is a professor of physiotherapy and healthcare management.
Lorraine has been motivated throughout her career by a desire to see lives transformed by improving health systems. She conducts research that generates evidence-based policy and programs and has helped establish new ways of working by explaining extending scopes of practice, evaluating innovations, supporting new researchers, and determining how health and disability services can be improved.
Lorraine is a director of the National Advisory Council of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) and Chair of the National Educators Group of the APA. Lorraine is also Deputy Chair of the Board and director of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council. Lorraine is immediate past chair of the Australian Physiotherapy Council.
