Meg Hegarty is an experienced palliative care clinical nurse, clinical manager and educator. She has taught in the Palliative Care and Palliative Care in Aged Care postgraduate courses in the School of Medicine, Flinders University since 2001. She coordinated the development of the Palliative Care in Aged Care courses and the Master of Applied Gerontology. Meg is published internationally and has presented at conferences and workshops internationally and nationally. She has coordinated intensive courses in Singapore for students from the South East Asian region. In 2009 Meg was awarded the Vice Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence. Her research has included membership or Chief Investigator roles in several national, multi-site research projects and collaboration on international authorship teams.
