Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer in International Business and teach in the areas of international strategy and marketing. A major research passion of mine is the study of multinational companies approach to social and environmental issues. Sustainability practices of multinational companies and their strategic committment to poverty alleviation is another of my major research projects. Social activities of multinational corporations and how they plan and execute their social agendas is another of my research agendas particularly how these companies execute Sustainability Practices, their involvement in Bottom of the Pyramid Markets and their level of alignment with the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. The Social and Environmental development of Corporations fits with the sustainability and survival of firms in the longer term and my research contributes to the assessment of these and whether they include them in their core strategies.

Research and supervision

Research interests

The study of multinational companies approach to social and environmental issues.
Sustainability practices of multinational companies and their strategic commitment to poverty alleviation is another of my major research projects. Social activities of multinational corporations and how they plan and execute their social agendas is another of my research agendas particularly how these companies execute Sustainability Practices, their involvement in Bottom of the Pyramid Markets and their level of alignment with the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. The Social and Environmental development of Corporations fits with the sustainability and survival of firms in the longer term and my research contributes to the assessment of these and whether they include them in their core strategies.
An empirical study that I am currently involved in is "Do Mutlinational Companies show Strategic Intention to Alleviate Poverty?"
