Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer in International Business and teach in the areas of global marketing and Global sustainability issues in Business.  A major research passion of mine is the study of multinational companies approach to social and environmental issues.  Sustainability practices of multinational companies and their strategic committment to the Global Reporting Index (GRI) of the United Nations is another of my major research projects. Social activities of multinational corporations and how they plan and execute their social agendas is another of my research agendas particularly how these companies execute Sustainability Practices, their involvement in Bottom of the Pyramid Markets and their level of alignment with the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. The Social and Environmental development of Corporations fits with the sustainability and survival of firms in the longer term and my research contributes to the assessment of these and whether they include them in their core strategies.

Research interests

The study of multinational companies approach to social and environmental issues.
Sustainability practices of multinational companies and their strategic commitment to the Global Reporitng Initiative of the United Nations is another of my major research projects. Sustainabiltiy in the Mining and Cruise line industry are my current research targets. This will be followed by the Sustainability practices of Australian University for 2014.
