Introduction
Some academic and general staff have established consulting
fund accounts from which assets, eg. computing equipment have
been purchased. Assets purchased in this manner are university
property and are recorded in the asset register.

Principle
Assets held by or on behalf of the University, and financed
from consulting funds, are in every respect the property of
the university.

Procedure
10.5.1 Assets acquired and funded from consulting
funds will be:
- recorded in the asset register;
- subject to annual stocktake procedures;
- subject to disposal procedures;
- subject to procedures relating to assets held off campus.
