1.	Policy
1.1	Flinders Press is a University inplant printery. The Director, Information Services will be responsible for overall control of the operation, whilst day to day management and direction will be the responsibility of the Manager, Flinders Press.
1.2	Flinders press will operate as a commercial undertaking to provide a printing service for the University community and a limited number of external customers. The operation will be run with a view to recovering all costs including overheads and making a contribution by way of profit to Unviersity funds as determined between the Director, Information Services and the Executive Director of Administration.
2.	Procedures
2.1	Budget
2.1.1	An annual budget will be prepared by the Manager, Flinders Press in accordance with the time table for the University budget.
2.1.2	The budget will be endorsed by the Director, Information Services, and Executive Director of Administration, for incorporation into the University budget.
2.1.3	The annual budget will be input to the Flinders Finance System to enable production of periodic management reports (trading and profit and loss) for performance monitoring.
