Where a new policy/procedure or an amendment to an existing
policy/procedure has been approved by decision of Council,
Academic Senate or Resources Committee or other central committee
of the University, the following procedures will apply.
2.1 The committee secretary will advise the
responsible officer of the decision of the committee in writing
and will provide a hard copy of any alterations to the draft
policy made by the committee/Council.
This written notice of approval may be by action sheet, letter
or internal memo accompanied by an extract from the unconfirmed
minutes.
2.2 The responsible officer will circulate
to heads of affected faculties, divisions or units within
two weeks of receiving the notice of approval:
- the approved version of the policy in the standard form;
- advice on the implementation of the policy/procedure
and changes that arise from it, including:
- date the policy becomes effective
- necessary transitional arrangements, if any
- administrative implications.
2.3 The Responsible Officer will ensure that
a system for transferring policy and procedure documents to
the Policy and Procedures Manual server is established and
operates efficiently in accordance with the approved procedures
for administration of the Manual. |
