CRITERIA
2.1 [Associate Heads], or equivalent, of Faculty with whole of Faculty or significant management responsibility, are paid up to the above amount at the Executive Dean’s discretion.
2.2 [Heads of AOUs (professorial and non-professorial)]
2.2.1 [Category 1 Headship Load]
- less than 0.2 headship load*
2.2.2 [Category 2 Headship Load]
- 0.2 to 0.6 headship load*
2.2.3 [Category 3 Headship Load]
- greater than 0.6 headship load*
- more than 30 staff (inclusive of academic and general staff) in the AOU
2.2.4 [Category 4 Headship Load]
- greater than 0.6 headship load*
- more than 40 staff (inclusive of academic and general staff) in the AOU
- multi-award and/or multi-disciplinary responsibilities, and/or AOUs which are
new or undergoing substantial change
*fraction of full-time load devoted to headship duties (see policy 'Heads of Academic Organisational Units')
2.3 [Deputy Heads of AOU] are paid up to 75% of the loading for the relevant Headship load category into which they fall.
2.4 [Associate Heads of AOU] are paid up to half of the loading for Category 2 Heads.
2.5 [Appointees with Univeristy-wide responsibilities (Clause 1.1.2 of policy)] are paid one of the two amounts specified as determined by the Vice-Chancellor in each case. |
