Guidelines for the Award of a Chancellor's Letter of Commendation
Section 2 'Chancellor's Letter of Commendation' of the Policy
for Awards for Academic Excellence, provides for the award of
a Chancellor's Letter of Commendation to a student whose academic
performance in a year of study in an undergraduate or postgraduate
course has been judged to be outstanding.
In determining such awards,
the following will apply:
• normally, a student must have achieved
a Grade Point Average of no less than 6.25, on a scale of 7.0.
