Grants and funding opportunities

All external grant applications submitted by Flinders University staff must be submitted through the Office of Research.

The Office of Research aims to add value to the university’s external research funding applications by:

  • advising on the preparation of applications
  • reviewing those which are submitted in accordance with internal deadlines
  • effectively liaising with funding agencies to ensure that researchers are equipped with accurate guidelines and procedural information.

Internal deadlines for grant applications

Internal deadlines for receipt of grant applications at the Office of Research are generally set at 5 working days prior to the deadline for lodgement with the funding agency.

Internal deadlines for larger funding rounds such as ARC and NHMRC may be set earlier because of the number of applications involved, and the service we offer in reviewing those applications.
