Australian Seafood CRC

Flinders University is a core participant in the Australian Seafood CRC.

The Minister for Education, Science and Training, The Hon Julie Bishop, announced the establishment of the Australian Seafood CRC in December 2006.

It will become operational on 1 July 2007.

Flinders University's involvement

Flinders University staff worked intensively with the partners, particularly with colleagues at the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI), in the development of this CRC bid.

As a result, one or more of the Seafood CRC’s programs will be based in South Australia. It is also hoped that the CRC itself will be headquartered in South Australia.

Flinders role in the Seafood CRC is being coordinated by the Office of Research and Dr. Graham Mair. Dr Mair, is a Program Leader designate and is closely involved with the Seafood CRC activities. He can be contacted at graham.mair@flinders.edu.au or on (08) 8201 5968.
