Research Professional

Flinders University currently holds a site licence to Research Professional. This is a powerful funding opportunities search engine and database, which allows users to create and save their own custom searches for national and worldwide funding opportunities. Searches can be filtered by funder, funder type, deadline, discipline, keyword etc. Users also have the ability to set up and receive regular email alerts of new funding opportunities or news in specific areas of interest. All opportunities listed on the system have been eligibility verified for Australian researchers.

All Flinders staff have access to Research Professional via the Okta dashboard. Select the large green (on the top right)  '+ Add Apps' button and then to add Research Professional to your dashboard, search for 'Research Opportunity Database'.

Research Professional allows all Flinders University staff and Higher Research Degree Students to search for funding opportunities.

Australia & New Zealand Online Training sessions - 2018

Research Professional is pleased to invite interested staff to a series of live online broadcast training sessions. These demonstrations can be viewed on a PC and choose to receive sound either via the computer’s mic and speakers, or by phoning in to a voice conference. Questions will be able to be asked of the presenter questions using a text chat feature.  Please check the start time in your own time zone before registering.

Research Map

The Research Map is an initiative of the Australian Government to make it easier for businesses to find Australian researchers with capabilities relevant to business research needs. The Research Map is administered by the Entrepreneurs’ Programme - Research Connections team of the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science. The dedicated network of Research Facilitators work with businesses to connect them to Australia's leading research capability. Capturing the research capabilities and expertise of researchers in the Research Map database will enable the Research Facilitators to identify the relevant research capability matching the needs of businesses and present opportunities for industry-research collaborations.

The researcher profiles in the Research Map are not publicly accessible and will be primarily used by the Research Facilitators for the purpose of delivering the department’s programs and initiatives.

Flinders University encourages our researchers to join and create profiles. The Research Map can be accessed at https://researchmap.com.au/.

Grants Bulletin

Please note that the Grants Bulletin is currently on hold while we work on an improved method of communication. New Opportunities are advertised daily via Inspiring Research.

Research Development and Support (RDS) Grants Bulletin is a fortnightly bulletin which provides researchers with a snapshot of grant and funding opportunities. Please note that while the Grants Bulletin is a useful reference point, it will not cover all possible funding sources for your particular area of research, and therefore should be used in conjunction with bespoke searches carried out via services such as Research Professional.

The Grants Bulletin is distributed to registered researchers via a fortnightly email. If you would like to receive the Grants Bulletin please contact Research Development and Support.

Previously advertised information is available here.
