Expectations of teaching staff
- Post a welcome and introduction message to students before teaching starts
- Online teaching staff should outline their availability online, that is how many times a week they will access the site
- Teaching staff should always notify students during semester of any online absences
- Teaching staff are expected to respond promptly (within three days) to all postings and emails which are directed to them
- Teaching staff are responsible for monitoring all online communications and intervening where necessary to ensure that students are not harmed or disadvantaged by inappropriate communications and interactions.
- Topic coordinators are responsible for ensuring expectations are met by online teaching staff
- Topic coordinators are responsible for informing students that FLO is able to track information about students' online activity
- Topic coordinators are responsible for informing students how they can raise complaints or problems in learning online
