Graduate Certificate in Gender Mainstreaming Policy and Analysis

The Graduate Certificate in Gender Mainstreaming Policy and Analysis prepares students for careers which require specialised knowledge about how to integrate gender considerations in:

  • policy making
  • designing and implementing programs/projects, and
  • monitoring and evaluating policies, programs, and practices.

The course offers students an understanding of best practices in Gender Mainstreaming and Analysis, and enables them to apply this knowledge:

  1. in simulated virtual learning environments
  2. by analysising case studies
  3. researching specific policy focus areas (e.g., public health, education, economic management, or human resources), or
  4. through an action research topic in their workplace.

The specialised Gender Mainstreaming and Analysis skills and knowledge students gain from this course are highly valued by former students (see commendations below), within public policy environments such as the Australian and international governments, and non-government and corporate entities.
