In 2001 Associate Professor Young’s work was the subject of a documentary filmed by the Australian Broadcasting Commission. This documentary was shown on the ABC and has also been shown throughout the USA and Europe.

Associate Professor Young is also a recognised diagnostician and is heavily involved in the diagnosis of Autism. She is a Registered Psychologist and her diagnoses are recognised by the Autism Association of South Australia.
