Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Child Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
What is the study about? The study, which is being funded by the Channel 7 Children's Research Foundation of South Australia, is investigating the effectiveness of cognitive behaviour therapy for children suffering from Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after a single incident- type trauma. To be included in the study, children must be aged between 8-17 years, and have suffered or witnessed a single-incident type trauma (e.g., road traffic accident, dog attack, assault etc) at least 3 months previously.
