DESCRIPTION 
 
The Council of the Near Eastern Archaeology Foundation invites applications for:
 
  • The Catherine Southwell-Keely Travel Grant  to assist a recent graduate of an Australian or New Zealand University, currently enrolled in postgraduate studies, requiring extensive travel, to pursue research in the archaeology of Egypt, Cyprus or Western Asia. Value: $3500.

  • The Leone Crawford Travel Grant  to assist recent graduates of an Australian or New Zealand University, currently enrolled in postgraduate studies, to pursue research in the geographical areas in which the Foundation from time to time conducts research. Value: $5000

  • The Sam Eames Grant-in-Aid to assist recent graduates of an Australian or New Zealand University, currently enrolled in postgraduate studies, to pursue research in the archaeology of Egypt, Cyprus or Western Asia. Maximum value: $1500.

  • General Grants-in-Aid to assist recent graduates of an Australian or New Zealand University, currently enrolled in postgraduate studies, to pursue research in the archaeology of Egypt, Cyprus or Western Asia. Value: up to $5000 to be distributed in the form of one or more grants at the Council's discretion. 
ELIGIBILITY 
 
Grants are open to recent graduates of an Australian or New Zealand University, currently enrolled in postgraduate studies.
 
APPLICATION 
 
Applications for any of these grants, including a short curriculum vitae, a statement of the candidate's proposed research project and a detailed budget, should be emailed as PDF attachments to neaf.archaeology@sydney.edu.au.
 
Applicants are requested to arrange for two letters of reference to be sent directly to the NEAF email by the closing date.
