DESCRIPTION

Generous donations to honour the contribution made by Cheryl Ann Keatley to aged care and continence education, have enabled the establishment of the Cheryl Ann Keatley Scholarship.

The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage postgraduate training in incontinence nursing and provide financial assistance to student undertaking the Graduate Certificate in Primary Health Care (Aged Care) or the Graduate Diploma in Nursing (Aged Care) or the Master of Nursing (Aged Care).

BENEFITS

Subject to the availability of funds, there will be one scholarship valued at $1,000 awarded annually.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants for the scholarship must:

  • be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia; and
  • have applied for admission to, or be enrolled in, the Graduate Certificate in Primary Health Care (Aged Care) or the Graduate Diploma in Nursing (Aged Care) or the Master of Nursing (Aged Care) offered by Flinders University; and
  • be able to demonstrate financial hardship; and
  • be able to demonstrate active involvement in the delivery of care to the older person
