Flinders University Alumni Association :Jessie Cooper Study Grants for Mature Entry Women

Study grants have been established by the University through the Alumni Association to commemorate the Women's Suffrage Centenary that are known as the Jessie Cooper Study Grants for Mature Entry Women. The study grants will be awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and academic merit.
Subject to sufficient funds being available, there will be one study grant to the value of $1,000 (based on a full-time study load, or proportionately reduced for a part-time load) available in each of the four faculties annually.
Applicants for the study grants must be women who:
- have normally gained entry to the University either by Adult Year 12 or by Special Entry Assessment; and
- will be students in the last year of their first undergraduate degrees; and
- can demonstrate that their financial and personal circumstances will inhibit completion.
Applications should be submitted online through the Flinders University Student Information System by the specified closing date. Applicants will need to login and navigate to the My Scholarships tab to submit an application. The application form for this scholarship is called "Undergraduate Scholarships for Continuing Students", or you can search for it by the keyword "continuing". You will be considered for multiple scholarships if you complete this application. Please read the how to apply page and ensure all of your personal details are up-to-date in Student Two as you will be assessed using the information in the Student System, including home and semester address, citizenship etc.
Applicants will need to demonstrate financial hardship to apply for this scholarship. This can be done uploading a recent Centrelink (or DVA) Income Statement which shows you are currently in receipts of government means tested benefits. Applicants not in receipt of government means tested benefits must be able to demonstrate financial hardship form by completing and uploading the Financial Hardship Form available below.
