Flinders University :Dean Jaensch Scholarship

Opening Date: 23-11-2016   Closing Date: 31-03-2017  

The Dean Jaensch Scholarship was established in 2010 to encourage students to study an Honours program in Politics and Public Policy.

BENEFITS
Subject to availability of funds, one new scholarship will be available each year to the value of $1000.


ELIGIBILITY
Applicants for the scholarship must

  • have studied their undergraduate degree at Flinders University and ;
  • be commencing an Honours Program within Politics and Public Policy ; and
  • normally remain enrolled full-time.


TENURE
Recipients will receive $1000 for one year, to be paid in equal instalments, after the census date of each semester subject to maintaining satisfactory academic progress.  The scholarship will be terminated if the recipient does not maintain enrolment, withdraws or is precluded from the course. 

 

FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS
The scholarship will be funded by the School of Social and Policy Studies.


SELECTION
Selection will be made by the Discipline Leader (Politics and Public Policy) and the Dean (School of Social and Policy Studies).  The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. If applicants have equal academic merit, the student with the highest GPA in a Politics Major will be awarded the scholarship.
