State Government/Flinders University :Bob Such Memorial Scholarship for Commencing Students

A grant from the State Government in conjunction with Flinders University has enabled the establishment of the Bob Such Memorial Scholarship. The aim of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students from the southern suburbs of Adelaide undertaking an undergraduate degree at Flinders University.


Subject to the availability of funds, there will be a minimum of 12 scholarships awarded annually to the value of $2,500 each.


Applicants must:

  • be Australian citizens, permanent residents or permanent humanitarian visa holders of Australia; and
  • normally reside in the southern suburbs of Adelaide (local government areas of Holdfast Bay, Marion, Mitcham and Onkaparinga); and
  • be enrolled full-time at Flinders University in their first year of a Flinders University undergraduate degree in Education or STEM areas (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics); and
  • be in receipt of a means tested Commonwealth income support payment or be able to demonstrate financial hardship.


Applications should be submitted online through the Flinders University Student System. Applicants will need to login and navigate to the My Scholarships tab to submit an application.
