Privately funded scholarships are established by academic staff from their own consulting funds or from government and non-government awarded grants and enable a nominated student to carry out a program of study leading to a research higher degree.
Applicants must: be enrolling as full-time students in a Masters by research, or Doctorate by research at Flinders University; and hold an Honours degree at the level of Second Class (upper division) or above, or an equivalent qualification.
The minimum stipend for a privately-funded scholarship will not be less than the current FURS rate. The maximum stipend for a privately funded scholarship or stipend top-up shall not exceed the NHMRC (Medical) rate unless it can be demonstrated that market forces are in operation.
More information and application forms can be obtained from the Higher Degree Administration and Scholarships Office, or the scholarships website.
