The School of Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of computer science, engineering, information technology, mathematics, and statistics. We have a reputation for producing graduates that are well regarded by local, national, and international employers. Moreover, we continually review and update our curriculum and teaching methodologies to keep them current.  Where appropriate, our courses are accredited by either or both of the Australian Computer Society or Engineers Australia.

Most teaching occurs on site at Flinders University's Bedford Park Campus in Adelaide, but several courses include our nationally recognised 20-week industry work experience placements. Most courses can be started in either semester 1 or 2.

Flinders offers the complete range of undergraduate, postgraduate coursework and postgraduate research courses from Information Systems majors in the Bachelor of Science through to Biomedical Engineering awards. They can broadly be categorised under five headings but there is considerable overlap:

Biomedical Engineering

Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Information Technology and Software Engineering

Mathematics and Statistics

Mechanical Engineering

Other Awards

Each award is distinct but all are sufficiently aligned to make transfer from one award to a neighbouring award possible.

Entry to most of our undergraduate and postgraduate coursework courses can be made through the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) or, in the case of international students, through the University's International Office.  Entry to the Bachelor of Business and Technology is restricted to students studying a Flinders University science, medical science, technology, engineering or business degree.
